The Bible tells us that when the Apostles began representing the gospel of Jesus Christ after He ascended into Heaven, they were challenged for their faith. As a result, they began to pray. In prayer they asked for God’s assistance; they desired boldness, creative faith, a spirit of servanthood, healing power, miraculous signs, and supernatural wonders.
Acts 4:31 (NLT) After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
This verse mirrors the core of Pastor Joseph’s heart as well as the mission of our church. It is our desire to help as many people as possible encounter God, and in doing so ask for boldness, then be filled with the Holy Spirit. The meeting place was the place where God met with the people to empower them and commission them to be world changers. At The Meeting Place Church, we aim to do life together, serve each other sacrificially, give extravagantly and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ locally and then globally.
In this house we:
Love God – Love People – Pursue Excellence
Pastor Joseph and Brooke Floarea moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 2020 in arguably the darkest year in the modern era. They answered the call and began their God-given dream to build a church with a simple goal – creating a place for people to encounter God. They started the journey with 13 faithful people.
Today, this meeting place, this church, hosts more than 15 different nationalities, remains a place that is known for being multi-generational, and is actively fulfilling the great commission in the Atlanta Metro. Our story has just begun, and we welcome you to join the journey.
