What is The Meeting Place?
The Meeting Place comes from the Old Testament holy place known as ‘The Tent of Meeting’. It was in this place that the presence of the Lord would meet with His people. From that place the Lord would inspire, direct and empower the people for His work and will.
In the New Testament it was no longer just one place that would be God’s meeting place, but many. These places would be upper rooms, individual houses or even a church. We chose this name because we exist to be a place where we encounter and meet with the manifest presence of God.
Acts 4:30-31 (NLT)
Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

Expanding the vision...
Acts 1:8 (ESV)
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Our vision is to win souls and make
disciples of Jesus Christ.
We believe that becoming a disciple maker is the call of
every person aiming to live for Jesus Christ.

Our Leadership
Joseph Floarea, Lead Pastor
Acts 4:31 (NLT) After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
This verse mirrors the core of Pastor Joseph’s heart as well as the mission of our church. It is our desire to help as many people as possible encounter God, and in doing so ask for boldness, then be filled with the Holy Spirit. The meeting place was the place where God met with the people to empower them and commission them to be world changers. At The Meeting Place Church, we aim to do life together, serve each other sacrificially, give extravagantly and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ locally and then globally.
In this house we:
Love God – Love People – Pursue Excellence
Pastor Joseph and Brooke Floarea moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 2020 in arguably the darkest year in the modern era. They answered the call and began their God-given dream to build a church with a simple goal – creating a place for people to encounter God. They started the journey with 13 faithful people.
Today, this meeting place, this church, hosts more than 15 different nationalities, remains a place that is known for being multi-generational, and is actively fulfilling the great commission in the Atlanta Metro. Our story has just begun, and we welcome you to join the journey.
