Faith, the Invisible God, and Spiritual Discernment
This Bible study explores the concept of faith as a means of understanding God, who is invisible to our natural senses unless He allows Himself to be revealed. It draws on the light of the scriptures, juxtaposing it with John Walton's perspective on science. It highlights science's limitations in perceiving the invisible, or the divine because it is restricted to the material world. The lecture emphasizes that the kingdom of God is within, accessible through spiritual discernment rather than physical observation. This teaching encourages us to approach scripture with childlike faith, acknowledging potential misunderstandings, and seeking spiritual insight rather than relying on carnal interpretation. The study also encourages us to set aside regular time for God to allow Him to engage with us through scripture, and letting His Spirit reveal deeper truths, ultimately leading to a burning heart, strengthened with a proper spiritual understanding of God's word.
